This page showcases the work I have completed that show my media experience ranging from animation/motion graphics work to social media posts.
Student Animator at NIHR
I was employed for a three week placement by the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR). I created two animations of lengths up to three minutes to showcase their projects which involve public participants. I was tasked with the entire completion of these animations, from researching and arranging meetings to post-production tasks.
Experts by Experience
This is a 50 second animation which quickly explains what Experts by Experience entails. There is a panel of members of the public that are called 'experts' as they live with the illness that the project proposals they review are centred around. They rate each proposal out of 10 and then discuss this with the panel of judges who make the final decision, there they can bring up any issues that will affect the project in terms of the patients involved. It allows for the 'experts'' voices to be heard and they feel involved in the progression of medical research.
Introducing Focus Groups
This animation is slightly longer, at 2 minutes. It describes what the purpose of focus groups are and how they work.It also showcases the updates from two companies that recommend NIHR Surgical MIC.
Volunteer at Healthwatch Leeds
I am currently in the process of creating a 3 minute animation to showcase the work of the Inclusion for All Hub over the past 3 years. The body work is almost complete, and the audio is still needing to be added. This will be added once it is completed.
I am also currently collaborating with Healthwatch Leeds on my final year project for my degree. This will be an animated interactive narrative based around patients' discharge experiences. It will have options to choose from throughout and then finish woth two endings, one to show the impacts of the improvements that Healthwatch recommend and the other to show the outcome of not taking these recommendations on board. I will display my project proposal below on completion.
Art Director for RAG Society
In my final year of univeristy, I have taken on the role of Art Director for one of the fundraising societies of the union. I create the annual RAG (Raise and Give) magazine, social media posts, and physical posters to advertise events and to keep our members updated.
